Hi Wla... Surgery is always a little scary but you can help yourself out by reading the various sections of this forum that talks about how others got prepared for surgery, and more importantly, was ready for the recovery and what to expect. Make sure to follow the diet guidance by not only your doctor but the other couple of post LNF surgery foods posted on here. Just do a search for post surgery diet. It should pop up. With all the issues you are having, it sounds like the doctors are trying to treat the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms. For that, you should be excited to have surgery and fix it! Have a good mental outlook and it will help the recovery. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.

I understand your fear, and it is a common feeling before surgery. Also, you're likely to find some scary posts online that might worry you. I addressed these issues a bit in a statement at the end of my journal.

Feel free to share any worries you have both before before and after your surgery. There's no such thing as a stupid question! Ask away!
