H. Pylori?

Hello all,

I just had an endoscopy and the doc said my stomach and small intestine were really inflamed with this bacteria. For almost 2 months now I've been waking up with nausea, been constipated with very dark brown, rabbit looking stools (sometimes lots of muscus), and have worsening lower back pain on the left side.

What is your experience with treating this infection? I'm mainly worried that this bacteria isn't the problem, that maybe I have cancer in the pancreas or colon (my dad had both) and they didn't catch it. So far from googling, it looks like half the world has this bacteria with no problems and frankly until now, I've never heard of it.

I hope you mentioned to your doctor the fact of your father having pancreatic cancer. please look out for any yellow coloring in your skin or eye area as jaundice along with your other symptoms could be troubling. Since you've already been diagnosed with h-pylori I would concentrate on that and not focus on the other but be an advocate for your health and check out all options. Sorry I don't have any experience with h-pylori but my mom also passed of pancreatic cancer and I'm a true believer in early detection so I just had to pass along my unsolicited advice on the symptoms you listed above.
Hoping you get some replies to help you understand your infection.
