Gastric emptying study.

So I've been back to the surgeon who performed my 360 redo. I've discussed with him my symptoms and he has advised another impedance test and he has also suggested a gastric emptying study, although I don't feel like I have problems with that he wants to rule it out. Just wanted to know if anybody on here has had it performed and what it entails? Particularly am I required to stay at hospital until the food is emptied. How is the test performed? Hello:

I just had one done on Monday. I had to eat two peices of toast with Strawberry Jelly and i think it's two egg whites. The tech that does the procedure puts a radioavtive substance that you will never know is there into the the eggs. You have to eat as much as you can within like 5 min. Follwing eating what ever you can I could only have one piece of toast they had me lay down and they slide you into what look like a xray machine and took a picture for 5 min. then every hour on the hour they repeat.

it really is easy the hardest part is not being able to drink in between pictures.
