White bread is more likely to give you reflux because its simple carbohydrates rather than complex carbohydrates like wholegrain is. Wholemeal bread isn't much better because the base for it is the same as white bread, with the addition of partially milled wholegrain flour.
If the bread rolls you are talking about are the ones I am thinking of, those, like plain white bread loaves, are probably the most likely to cause problems. If you really don't want to give up white bread, try something like a potato bread, sourdough or ciabatta, they aren't as bad for simple carbohydrates and tend to digest a bit nicer than a normal white bread.
You mentioned in another post that you have swallowing issues, bread is really good at bunching itself up into a bolus, regardless of how much you chew it and is much more likely to cause problems. If you toast the bread first, it doesn't clump up the way fresh bread tends to, so if you are having problems that might be something to try.
