regurgitation 7 months after nissen fundoplication-Please help!

Hi all,
I had a Nissen fundoplication done in May of 2015. A few months ago I posted that I thought my reflux had come back. Now I'm definitely regurgitation. Several hours after eating and after waking up in the morning my throat and upper airway is full of "stuff" and mucus. Some of it seems to get into my lung because I have a hard time breathing then and my oxygen is way low. After coughing for about 1 hour I get most of it up and my lung function ( checked with a peak flow meter I have for asthma) returns to normal. I went to see a general surgeon about it and he ordered a barium swallow which I had last Friday. The results won't be in until this coming Wednesday.- Please advise me how I should handle this in the meantime. Should I return to just liquids for now.? I had a nutritional shake this morning like Ensure and even that came back up about 30 minutes later. I almost went to the ER a few times in the morning but past experience tells me that they don't know how to handle it at all.

I had the surgery done at the University of South Carolina by one of the best surgeon around. He was the head of the GI surgery department. Unfortunately he won't be able to help me because I have since moved to California. I just found out that there is not a single surgeon in this area who could address the problem and I would have to go to LA.
I'm hoping that the surgeon I'm seeing now will give me a good referral once he gets the x-ray results and finds out what is going on.

I don't think a barium swallow is the most effective test for diagnosing reflux. I think it's useful to see if there is any hold up at the wrap such as if it's too tight or can sometimes help diagnose some deformity of the oesphagus. I have had 2 fundo and had a barium swallow after the first which was entirely normal. I had mine not to diagnose reflux though but to see if I had any swallowing problems or a possible pouch in my throat. I was told by consultant that barium swallow is not ideal to diagnose reflux and best test is impedance test. After an entirely normal standard PH test the impedance test showed an abnormal amount of weak acid and alkaline reflux right up to my throat and was given a full fundo unfortunately it hasn't been successful and im regurgitating and suffering an incredibly painful throat and no voice so in totally feel your pain. Also barium swallow didn't show a grapefruit sized hernia which was found in my second surgery. Lots of luck
