Just wondering about everyone's chest pain and location. I feel like I have had the typical chest pain in the sternum area and also lower rib cage area. But now it's a little different in that it's right below my left breast and also on the side of my ribs and its radiating to the back in between my shoulder blades. I have GERD and lately it has been doing okay ( I monitor my diet) but this pain is scaring me and I feel like I need to do something more about it. I had my breast checked by my doctor on Monday and everything felt fine (I'm a hypochondriac so I assumed it was breast cancer). My pain is in the middle of my chest, lower left and also on the side. It's freaking me out!

I can definitely relate.. I get chest pains in the same area as you.. sternum and left upper chest. It freaks me out. I went to the ER a few times because of it. They always tell me its 'probably' not cardiac related because the EKG and blood come back normal. I'm going to ask my PCP for a referral to see a cardiologist. Hoping that will give me some peace of mind. Have you had any tests besides your mammogram?

Me too...so bizzare. Wonder why it radiates there. Theories anyone?

Did not have a mammogram because I'm only 34. But im thinking of maybe requesting a ultrasound when I see my doctor on Thursday. I'm actually kind of hoping it's just my GERD and not breast related because anything about the breast freaks me out.

But my doctor did examine me and there were no lumps and my breast feel normal. Then pain seems to radiate from my ribs that's why I think it could be GERD.
