bad news

Hi all,
I posted several times the last few months that I thought that my reflux symptoms are coming back. I had a Floppy Nissen done in May of 2015, so 9 months ago. I was feeling really good after surgery and my symptoms improved 100 %. My lung function improved a lot. But then in the fall I began spitting up think mucus after eating and in the morning I was again having breathing difficulty. After some running around to the Er, urgent care and a pulmonary doctor , I was able to see a gastroenterologist and I had an endoscopy done yesterday. The results are sort of freaking me out!
They found 3 gastric polyps, 2 of them on the fundus. They also think I have Barrett esoghagus and my upper intestine has a funny looking lining which resembles Celiac disease. Throughout the stomach and the esophagus was fluid and this thick mucus that I have been spitting up and that seems to block my airways. The doctor also thinks that the reflux is bile and not acid??
I had 3 previous endoscopies done , 2 in early 2014 and one before my Fundoplication and none of them showed these sort of things. So I'm wondering how this could have happened?
I moved to another state since I had the Fundoplication and don't even know where to go from here. Right now I'm waiting on the biopsy results which are not supposed to be in for 3 weeks??
My mom died of esophageal cancer at the age of 38 and I'm very worried.

Hi Jimmy, thank you so much answering. I talked to the gastro yesterday after the procedure and he said that he cannot tell me anything until the biopsies come back. He advised to raise the bed etc...all stuff I'm already doing.Right now the breathing problems are the hardest to deal with. I'm taking 3 different powered bronchodilators and several nebulizer treatments a day just to keep going. Of course I'm also concerned that the reflux will permanently scar my lungs etc. -I think I will start bugging him for the results in a few days. I know for sure ( because my husband had a procedure done there) that the results come in 4 days but for some reason he usually will not discuss them until the next appointment which is on the 19th. Perhaps he will give in if I make clear to him that I can't breath.

Before the Nissen I never had heart burn. I had pressure behind the sternum, hoarseness, mouth sores and the feeling like my throat is closing up.Plus all the breathing problems. It took many years before someone took my seriously. It was always diagnosed as "anxiety". Sometimes I love to hate doctors, I don't like saying this but it's the thruth.
Here's another thing-the gastro said after the procedure that the Nissen was loose. I had a Floppy Nissen done which is sort of loose so now I don't know if the Nissen came undone or not.

Elke I have gotten the report many times before the doctor calls me back. Just call hospital records and see if it's available and tell them you want it. I do this one because I want to know the real results and two because I keep it all in a file so I have better info when I see the next doctor.

What state are you in maybe others can suggest some good doctors for you?

Do you still have your gallbladder?

Do you get bloated after eating? Do you still get soars in your mouth? Are you taking ant acids? I have been on a gluten free diet for about 16 months and my mouth soars went away.
