Hi there, i seem to have gotten LPR after a cold about 5 months ago and it's never gone away. Sore throat, hoarse, etc. I cannot talk for long without losing my voice.
I cannot tolerate ppis.
I am interested in the low carb diet as i have tried "dropping acid" for about a month and while my heartburn (created by failed Nexium which i took for all of one week) is better, my throat symptoms haven't changed.
I would like the Fast Track diet (Norm Robillard) except for one thing, i cannot afford to get constipated for other reasons. It's a low fiber diet. Even one bad stuck bowel movement will cause me terrible pain that will last.
I am not sure how to proceed. Soluble fiber seems essential to me.
Any ideas? Anyone get better on a balanced diet? I don't care much about carbs as long as i can have at least my one bowl of oatmeal in the AM.
Thanks for your thoughts.
