Hello everyone,
I had a nissen about 2 years ago. I had some violent vomiting episodes where nothing but water came up. Anyways, after my last episode which was really violent, (I could barely breath between wretching episodes), I ended up having symptoms of my GERD again. I had to go back onto the prilosec at 40 mg twice daily. I had a bravo test done and it indicated significant reflux. The doctor did another upper endoscopy and looked at my wrap and said that it looked good and was still tight, (which I don't believe). Now I am waking up in the night coughing and choking due to regurgitation. It is causing me to not be able to sleep with my CPAP machine. Anyway, I am thinking that it is time to get a second opinion. I would think that if the wrap was tight, then I would not be having these symptoms. I was symptom free until after my most recent violent vomiting episode which was December 2014. My symptoms have even gotten worse since then. I've been more symptomatic over the past month.
So, has anyone experienced anything similar to my experience? As much as I do not want to have the surgery again, I think that it may be necessary.
Well, that's about it. Thanks for listening.
:)
