I don't believe in the "prohibited" foods list. Keep a food journal and find your own food triggers. When you get a list of foods that bother you, look them up online with "food allergies."
I am fine with coffee, tomato sauce, etc, but don't tolerate gelatin, maple syrup, corn starch, molasses, pork, and more. Pizza (unless it's home made crust) and sodas can be a problem.
Finding your food triggers isn't going to cure your infections and asthma, but it can stop some of the stomach heaving.
Don't demand a specific procedure if you need surgery. Get whatever is right for your condition. If you have a large hernia, that needs a different surgery.
