I am a 54 year old male who has enjoyed exceptionally good health. The past few months, I've been putting up with occasional continual burping, which has been aggravating. The bouts happen only when I'm upright and awake, and never when I'm exercising at the gym. Fortunately, in my case the number one suspect is obvious - dark chocolate. I've been consuming an average of 3 500-calorie bars of 56% dark chocolate per week for the past 6 months or so. My first experiment is to eliminate all chocolate from my diet effective today, and see what happens over the next few weeks. I actually get a 'buzz' from eating dark chocolate (lasts about 3 hours), but the burping isn't worth it.
