Hi. I did a consult with Dr Norm of Fast Tract Diet. He suggested a very low carb diet would help with my rebound pain from getting off the PPI, plus with my GERD and gastritis. Has anyone tried this?

I tried the Whole 30 plan and it made my symptoms worse. It is a very low carb,no grain,no dairy plan. I'm having an EGD with a BRAVO test next Wednesday. Praying for answers to this 2 1/2 year nightmare.

I'm doing better cutting out the carbs and using Betaine HCL. LES closes up when eating and digestion is much faster than before. Food is not sitting there irritating the gastritis.

I'm feeling better too! Doing very low carb, high fat and my gastritis and gerd feel much better! I never would have believed it before trying it because I was eating so high carb. But this seems to be helping as of now. Also with my rebound acid from weaning off the PPI.
