Worried toupet has failed

Had toupet 270 fundlipication 8 weeks ago. Felt no heartburn since then have returned to a mostly normal diet except no bread or steak yet.

Last 2 days my throat/esophagus has felt constricted like before the surgery again, I can feel acid at the wrap site and pressure. Really worried the wrap has failed or loosened

I have only lost 2 pounds since surgery and I am burping loads. Have constant mucus in my throat.

Feeling really downhearted. Can anyone offer their advice of experiences please

Have you contacted your surgeon with your concerns? Maybe you can try backing off of your current diet and going back to soft foods to see if this helps.

You should schedule a follow-up appointment with your surgeon - have you seen him at all post-surgery? Everyone is different, I had a full wrap and hernia repair. I can't burp and can no longer vomit. The burping could be caused by the gastritis. You need to be really strict with your diet, avoid alcohol, and NSAIDs (Advil, etc.). Gastritis can be caused or made worse by stress, so try and relax. Also, some people still need to take medication post surgery, that's another thing that you can discuss with your surgeon.
