I am considering having TIF surgery. I need some pros and cons from someone who has had procedure. My main concerns are excessive throat clearing, inflamed vocalcords, and heartburn. Please help

If your throat clearing/chronic cough is serous you need more than a TIF you need a full wrap. My throat clearing was so bad I thought I had lung cancer. I did get aspiration pneumonia from it.

My throat clearing is agrevating. Sometimes i clear it over and over other times i don't clear much at all. Mostly clearing starts after i have eaten. I have also noticed i feel like i have asthma on occasion. Dr said i could be aspirating acid. I was hoping tif would help with all my symptoms.
