You should look up SIBO. Gas comes from the plume in your upper small intestines. That puts pressure on your diaphragm, which can cause GERD and vagus nerve irritation. Once you eat certain foods that the SIBO likes, they go into overdrive, eat those carbs, and produce gas in the small intestine. That itself can prevent the stomach from emptying. There's a test for SIBO, but I think it takes 3 hours. You eat a certain kind of carb, and then breath tests are taken to check levels of hydrogen. Since you're body doesn't produce hydrogen, and the SIBO does, it's a clear indicator of SIBO. Also, the bile that gets secreted by your gallbladder helps prevent SIBO, so if you're having a problem there, then you're susceptible to SIBO. Other SIBO symptoms are occasional fatty stools, swinging back and forth from the runs to constipation throughout the year, bloating soon after you start eating or finish eating, anxiety, GERD, etc. If SIBO gets bad enough, the bacteria can usurp your food intake, and the amount of nutrients you absorb goes down, resulting in weakness no matter how healthy you think you're eating.
I actually was tested for SIBO and I do have it. I tool the SIBO breath test one of the gas levels was abnormal. It came back at 22 when normal is 20. They gave me amoxocilan but it didn't work. I've been doing the SIBO diet as well. Do you have any other helpful tips on how to get rid of it?
