Hi friends,
I've been lurking here for a while in anticipation of my Fundoplication surgery. It was wonderful to see all the journeys documented in one easy place. I had my surgery early this morning, while it may be too soon to call it a total success, I'm already seeing AMAZING results. No heartburn, reflux, or regurgitation since I woke up from anesthesia almost 12 hours ago. And the best news is, I've done so well so far that my doctor is releasing me on a FULL liquid diet, not just clear liquids!!! Super thin protein milkshake, here I come!! :D
I'm creating this thread to post my journey to add to the fantastic resources on this site for anyone looking for answers or reassurance. I'm not a doctor, and nothing should be considered medical advice - just a girl in her 20s trying to share what I consider an amazing and life changing experience.
Falling asleep now from my meds, but tomorrow I'll be posting my story leading up to surgery, and will follow up with 2-3 day chunks of my recovery.
Hope you enjoy!
