General surgeon or thoracic surgeon?

There are two surgeons in my city that perform LNF, both are general surgeons. I can ask to be recommended to a thoracic surgeon in the city next door, I don't mind travelling 20/30min if necessary.
Just curious what type of surgeon performed your LNF?

Thoracic surgeon.

Unless you have a super simple procedure needed I would recommend getting the best, not the most convenient. Thoracic surgeons have lots more training.

I had mine done by a group, not just a single surgeon. It takes more than one person to hold all the retractors, camera, etc. You have 5 holes in you filled with equipment. Do you want a nurse doing half the stuff? I wouldn't even consider any surgeon who operates solo.

Thoracic surgeon.

Make sure you get someone who is familiar with doing this procedure. Don't take the chance with anyone else.
