You may want to schedule an appointment with a gastro doctor to see if you are possibly suffering from acid reflux. I'm not sure how an ENT doctor can diagnose h. Pylori or rule out acid reflux, but I'm not a medical professional. The PPIs that you were taking, were the prescribed, or over-the-counter? They won't give you immediate relief, and they need to be taken properly to work. I wouldn't suggest going to the ER, as you probably won't get a proper diagnosis. Four months is not a long time for recovery, and you feel that you have a 40% reduction in symptoms, so that definitely is progress. I know that anxiety can cause/make your symptoms seem worse. In comparison, I suffered from acid reflux for most of my adult life - including burning of the throat, stomach issues and hernia. Protonix and strict diet worked for me until I eventually had surgery at 52.
