Had upper GI last Wednesday but no bowel movement ever since.. panic!!!

I had upper GI done last Wednesday. I only had one small BM since then. I was told I won't need laxatives so I just waited hoping it will happen sooner or later but I lost patience and took milk of magnesia 2 days ago. At first I wanted to take small dose so I only took 1 tablespoon. It didn't do anything except some mild cramps. I waited a day thinking it might take longer to work but nothing happened. So I took 2 tablespoon again tonight but it's been 6 hours and nothing happened. There are time when I would feel stomach ache for time being but nothing major. I don't feel any pressure like there is barium inside. Before going into test I was already worried because I was consipated since I was on liquid diet. I kinda had feeling something like this would happen. Now I am loosing patience. I don't know what to do try different laxatives?? I plan on calling my doc office tomorrow, pretty sure I won't heard back until day or two. Has anyone been to same situation?

yea I had similar issue, it might be from the anesthesia. As long as your not vomiting, you'll be ok

Anesthesia??

They made me drink barium and took X-ray of it. Anesthesia was never used.
