I'm currently reading it and taking from the recipes. It's worth dropping the $12 bucks on, for sure. Grab it off amazon.
I have a really stubborn case of LPR that essentially rules my life. I'm trying to add some of the recipes from this book into my "normal" diet, which essentially consists of eggs, chicken, turkey, jasmine rice, papaya, cantaloupe, cauliflower, broccoli, almond milk, coconut oil, olive oil, unsalted grassfed butter, pink salt, coconut aminos. My diet is super limited, so I need to branch out.
The book talks about GERD/LPR, and the root causes behind. Our entire foodchain is acidified to stay on the shelves longer. We have to avoid those foods, as hard as it is. The author talks about eating no foods under a pH of 5 during the healing phase, which is a 28 day duration. He asserts that is the minimum amount of time for the esophagus to truly begin to heal. After the healing phase, he opens up the options to choose from more.
If you have reflux, this might be the best book out there on the subject.
