Feeling so sick and shaky today

Hey guys hope you are doing well. I have restech PH testing on Monday and I am off of PPI for few days now. My only symptoms (prominent) was burning in throat and since yesterday it has been replace by uneasy stomach. I get sour taste in my mouth in the morning too. Its disgusting....I chew gum all the time. I can't believe I went from having no stomach issues to having these issues in matter of couple of months. My EGD was good except for mild gastritis. I don't know why I feel down all the time. People get over gastritis and acid reflux quickly. Why is it taking so long for us? I feel tired fighting it. And maybe thats the solution. What if we stop fighting and just let it happen (easier said that done). I feel when we are thinking, fighting we tense up and at least in my case I am always looking for symptoms and questioning what if. Sorry for the long rant....it hasn't been a good morning.

I feel that I feel worse at work, as I sit all day doing accounting, so I can't relax the way I want to when I feel bad. At home, we barely talk, we are like roommates. It's easier that way, otherwise we bump heads.

I was born with anxiety, and had a very stressful childhood so it isn't hard for me to get stressed out quickly, it's how I deal with things even though I know it's damaging. I am on anxiety medicine for that. I almost wish I never started the PPIs, because I am worried it will be doing more harm than good. But on the other hand without them is causing damage.

I think if I am not feeling better in another month or so, I might have to get my gallbladder checked. I am not sure how long gastritis lasts, I guess it's different for everyone.

I've had this shaking feeling as well, I feel like whenever I eat something or do something drastic, my body starts to shake and stomach feels very achy, it makes me really anxious though I try not to think about it too much.

Well it is day 3 back on the pantoprazole and I definitely feel the difference for the better. I don't feel all PPIs are the same. The Prilosec (omaprezole) did not work well for me at all.

Thank you! I could only hope this is gone in a month. I have my good days and bad days on this medicine, but the bad days are better than the bad days on the other meds if that makes sense. I hate to be a downer on my own situation, but I doubt this will be gone in a month.

That's a shame you have to wait so long to see a specialist. By that time it could be completely healed. I know what you mean, some doctors just want to get you out the door and don't take the time to actually help. They have to understand that whats the point of continuing the medicine, if it's not doing much good. Doesn't hurt to try another.

My doctor said that I need to ween off of them because she said if not, there would be acid rebound. Plus I already knew about it after doing some research.

When you had your endoscopy done, did they tell you that you had a weak LES? I asked about that after my results appointment, and my doctor said that it wasn't noted on my results report form my endoscopy. Can they tell from that? I know certain drinks and foods weaken it, but I am talking about permanently weakened.

Could you possibly go to another doc for a second opinion?

I hear ya! I imagine if this goes on for me for another 2 months, I should get that testing as well, although I am not sure if my health insurance will pay for it.

I am getting by day by day. Went out last night with my girlfriends for dinner and had a glass of wine. Best darn glass of wine I ever had. Surprisingly I feel good today, no bad effects

Each day is different with me even back on the pantoprazole. It seems to have a mind of its own, thank you for asking. I am going to eat as bland as possible and record what I eat that triggers any discomfort or pain, so as to heal this thing as quick as possible.

I would like to try Gaviscon from the UK. A friend of mine that I work with is from Dublin Ireland, and she is going home on vacation in two weeks, and she said she will try and pick one up for me and bring it back with her. Which would be great, so I do not have to order online and pay any fees

Seriously though, I have had good days to where I feel like this thing is finally on its way out the door, then bam, its back to square one. That's when I start to think stress does play a big part in this. I know what you mean about the food journal. I only keep notes here and there on what I ate, but honestly, I could eat the same thing two days in a row, and have two totally different effects. I don't get it. Its very moody.


Have you been able to get your appetite back? Hopefully the new doc gives you more insight and help. Keep us posted. Hopefully the lozenges and water make a difference!

I didn't really get my appetite back as I knew it before but I am able to eat and don't feel as nauseous now. But every meal still brings on a sore throat and I'm constantly hoarse sometimes it's not even a meal.

Your doctor's advice seems good my doctor literally said eat anything except spicy food. He told me to eat chocolate and cakes too.. maybe he's trying to kill me so I won't visit him. Ill spite him and live a bit longer I think.

I do hope we can all recover. I want to exercise more as I think it will help but I've been so busy lately that I can't.

I've gotten that book that everyone talks about (dropping acid by Jamie Koufman) so going to try recipes from it. Its got two parts, I'm just using it for the cookbook part.

Yeah I always feel good after exercise, even going out for a walk.

I miss it so much too. Just feeling normal for 10 minutes would be so good. Can't even imagine eating what I want when I want.

I wonder how lpr go away got on with that pH testing. I heard it's pretty uncomfortable. Maybe his lpr did go away and he has too.

sorry for not replying....last week has been up and down...had PH test won't get the result until next week....funny thing happen and I would like your input....while doing the test...for first few hour I refused to look at PH number on the machine and it was always at 7.1....then I thought machine is not working....and after dinner PH number went down to 6.3 and I started getting worried and it didn't come up whole night....my mind is always overthinking so much....my wife had me try GABA and some herbal medicine to calm me down...hope it works....hope you guys are doing well..I have decided that I am going to try to ignore (at least) not pay too much attention to my symptoms....my throat burning has gone down (not completely).....hope it works...

Good job with the tests, LPR. I heard the ph test is really uncomfortable so I'm not surprised you wouldn't want that FearBug. I really wouldn't either but if it doesn't stop I guess I'll have to.

It will definitely be interesting to hear your results LPR.

As for that cook book, its got a lot of seafood recipes in it. I don't like sea food. I have yet to try a recipe but if either of you want some recipes I can email them to you. My email is [email protected] just email me and I'll send some over.

When I look back at 3 months ago my symptoms have definitely improved. I just hope they continue and don't return. I also hope they're not solely improving because of the ppi. Herbal tea.. Ill have to try that one out.
