I was wondering if anybody else was taking Dexilant.. it is supposed to be the newest PPI and I'm wondering if the formulation was different as they have a quick dissolving pill and a pill that works like the other PPI's.
If you are taking another PPI which one is working for you and when do you take it. Thanks. I know everybody is different but was wondering if there is a larger amount of people taking one that works the best.

I have been taking dexilant for 6months with good results. I take it (60mg capsule) at lunch time so as not to interfere with my morning thyroid meds.
I've not had any side effects except my wallet is a little lighter, it's an expensive med and I don't have prescription drug coverage
I do have an appointment next wed with a surgeon to book my LNF.
I have a very large hiatal hernia so it will be repaired and hopefully I'll be able to ditch the meds.

I'm taking pantaprazole (20mg) about 1 hour before supper time. I used to take it in the morning but I find this time more convenient and don't really notice a difference in effectiveness. No side effects that I can see (immediate ones, not talking about long term stuff).
Now that not everything is burning all the time I'm figuring out what foods are the worst triggers.
My mom got knee pain from Nexium but no side effects from pantaprazole. (Yes this condition seems to run in the family).
