Hi Gracejenn,
Welcome to the boards and you're in good company. I was on PPIs for 12+ years to deal with LPR because of a hiatal hernia. I'm now 12 weeks post Nissen and my voice is starting to clear up, post-nasal drip is improving, and throat clearing is a lot better. It can take a while for your esophagus to heal from the acid damage. I've read from 3 to 14 months.
One thing that helped me was to avoid coffee, tomatoes and other high acid foods for a while to give my throat a break.
Take care and be patient with this recovery. It really takes more time than you think to heal.
