Gastritis can take a while to heal, and the medication takes a while to kick in. I would try to adhere to a GERD-friendly diet that would help with the symptoms of your gastritis and also take some anti-gas medication (simethicone), to help with the bloating. Also, try and stay away from NSAIDs such as Advil and Aleve, as they will make your gastritis worse. To ease your mind, you might want to schedule an appointment with a pulmonary specialist who can test your breathing function to rule any other issues out. Sometimes a quick onset of a medical condition is coupled with anxiety over the situation and that might cause/make the other symptoms seem worse. Also, make sure you are taking the PPIs properly - you need to wait about 30 minutes after, then you must eat.
