Almonds anyone?

I have been hearing/reading a lot lately about how a handful of almonds can help with heartburn pain. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and had any real success with it or not..it would be nice to get off of the meds but I don't see that happening any time soon.

A few almonds, taken in the morning and/or after meals, chewed very well, have been hailed as the new miracle treatment for acid reflux by some people. Does it work - I don't know but perhaps somebody else will have input for you.

Not too sure it its the almonds but my stomach is killing me right now....I don't think its working.

I have dry eyes, and my eye doctor has recommended a handful of almonds each day for the Omega 3's.

Almonds are great for good health, but I don't know about it helping with GERD.
Also.....I have broken several teeth on whole almonds, and my dentist just told me that almonds are now the #1 breakers of teeth these days! So chew carefully, or use sliced ones.
I need to find a recipe for that concoction for heartburn that uses cayenne pepper. I know its hard to believe, but I've heard several people swear by it. Maybe do a google search for it.

I have to share with you - I broke a front tooth on a nacho chip a few years back.  I have not ate a chip since.

A friend of mine is always reminding us not to bite with our front teeth...rather to use side teeth. She especially warns against baby carrots, but Kitt, I'll bet anything that's somewhat hard.

I think sometimes we have cracks in our teeth and the smallest thing can chip them.......like the nacho chip. And probably the moon and stars and planet are lined up just right! haha
I have a panic attack whenever I chip a tooth. Its not fun. I think it came from all the time I spent in the dentist's chair when I was little (in the 50's), when dentists weren't very sympathetic to children.
Popcorn is another culprit. I do occasionally eat these things, but I go really, really, slowly. Its pretty hard to get me to stop eating things! haha

Eating lots of alkaline foods has completely eliminated my acid reflux.

I love almonds but i get different reactions every time i do eat them

Sometimes im fine, but sometimes i get stomach aches after eating almonds.

Ive heard that bananas are great but a few months ago i was experiencing bad acid reflux after eating bananas so for the past 6 months i have avoided them.

Ha..same here as far as almonds and bananas go. Sometimes I am fine and other times I end up feeling pretty bad. I had heard that almonds help with heartburn and that is all well and good unless you end up with a nasty belly ache after...we just can't win sometimes.

It makes me feel a bit better to hear that im not the only one with bad reaction to what they call "safe foods"
for acid reflux lol.

Ughh i know!! i hate how our stomach is so unpredictable =/

I think it is just something that each of us, individually have to find out what we can tolerate and what we can't. Everyone is obviously different and what may be ok for someone with GERD may not be for another. It is trial and error and sometimes the outcome is good and sometimes it is pure hell..lol

Almonds have many health benefits.It is rich in proteins and it is very good for health.I will buy almonds online from ezeelo.com.
