Hi Tammy,
I can only go by my personal experience. I was told that at 8 weeks I was free to start exercising again. Even weight lifting. However, there's no way I was ready to do much more than walking and light house work type lifting at 8 weeks. I remember at 7 weeks I still felt like I'd been run over and struggled with my nutrition and energy levels. I'm 49 and was in excellent physical condition with no other health issues other than a hiatal hernia and reflux.
Hopefully you'll feel better than I did at that time.
I believe that 8 weeks is the 90% healing mark and is why I was told I was clear to start normal activities. I've read that trauma, heaving from sickness, and excessive weight gain are risks to the wrap at any time after surgery.
I think you should talk to your doctor about this in detail. My surgeon was very confident in his work and told me my wrap would hold up just fine. He's done many hundreds of these surgeries. I'm taking him at his word but being cautious and being very mindful about what I do.
