I just came across your question as I was searching the internet for answer for similar things happening to myself.
I have not had this confirmed thru a medical diagnosis but from my own experience, I would have to say that yes, somehow, gastric issues can cause tachycardia, palpitations and a raise in blood pressure.
My old physician said it sounded like a vasovagal reaction but as I researched that further, it is rather the opposite problem and thus can not be that.
A while back, I had gone on a super clean diet made up of mostly vegetables and fresh juices and giving up everything wheat, dairy, wine and soda and refined sugars. After about
3-6 months of craziness [body detoxing I suppose] I started to feel very well. My anxieties and drops of potassium AND these (heartburn, reflux, tachycardia, palpitations, high blood pressure) symptoms all disappeared.
At first, I thought it coincidence. That maybe it was all anxiety to begin with and just not feeling well caused it.
But now, I have been 3 years off my clean diet and back to the standard American [bad food] diet and all of my symptoms have returned.
Needless to say, it is time to clean the diet up, return to juicing (with specific foods to ease digestive stress and heal chronic gastritis, ulcers or whatnot) and focus on health and healing.
I hope you see this even though it has been some years since you first posted.
