GERD and chills

hi all,

from around 3 years I have this acid reflux problem. But from recent six months my reflux has increased and it's burning sensation in throat with coughing, voice breaking. Recently before one month I have been also diagnosed with fatty liver grade 2.



In in GERD I have discomfort in my throat with burning sensation. Yesterday night I was not able to sleep as my stomach was burning and literally was on fire. I take domperidone and esomeprazole twice a day along with antidepressants. I also take pills for fatty liver problem. yesterday night I noticed that with stomach burning I was getting chills, the chills are also present today right now. Can u please let me now if chills is as a resukt of acidity.

Even me too didn't got that shaking chills but a slight feeling of something coming out as chills. One of school of thought is that chills occur when body is fighting some foreign invader, like viral or bacterial attack. That's response of body fighting with sucH alienated thing. You may be also about chills.

A lot many things happens in GERD bro.

I also have improper bowel movement. I use to visit bathroom 3-4 times a day, probably Irratable bowel syndrome(IBS), sometime I see mucus present in stool, not always but especially last Time in the day. I did my stool examination and their is no occult blood in stool but mucus is present. GI doctor told me that mucus is normal in stool, but I think visible mucus is not normal and may be sign of IBS, etc. I m scared for this. In month month everything changed for me, reflux, fatty liver and now I think this.

Hi, I was diagnosed with Gerd since 2015. This was caused by antibiotic and NSAD's combine. I got better completely healed after few months. Amen.

But recently because I was taking higher dose of my thyroid meds. It had triggered some stomach sensitivity. I had topical pain in between my breast area. Then when I lowered my meds mg. it got better. But my stomach sensitivities seems to be escalating. So I am eating smaller portion. Chewing properly and eating basic food, my regular diet when stomach acts up.
But for this last week I get chills around 2 to 3AM. Will it got colder weather, but the house is at 74 degrees. It seems that no blanket can fix it. I just sip warm water and put a warm pads all over my back and legs. This stops after half an hour. But it's just scary to be trembling being cold and getting chills.

Anybody had same experience?

I had flu mid December 2018 to early January 2019. I was taking meds like Tylenol, Sudafed some low dose NSAD (baby aspirin). No choice but to take meds from time to time. I had fever from 100F to 100.7F and the high was 101F. My fever starts from 8. 30AM to 6PM. It took weeks to be that way. Went to my doctor, And I realize that my body temperature was just higher but it was not considered a fever. So there's a thing to be high temperature (using ear thermometer) but not a fever. Could be confusing, but it happened to me.

My doctor keeps prescribing me Pepcid but that thing does not help at all. I am trying to heal naturally again. I think a little dose of Apple cider with food is helping but not much. Drinking alkaline water in the morning helped too. By the way I get heartburns as I get up in the morning. I did try to recline my bed a bit more and that helped a bit. Taking Probiotics in the morning 45 mins after my thyroid meds and a shot of Yakult (blue for less sugar). The tough part is trying what will work, considering it does not happen right away. You could be low acid rather than high acid stomach that's why it's tough to digest anything even water or soup. Based on my experience I had low acid stomach (damaged by antibiotic in 2015, but I got healed). So the Alkaline water helps and a little apple cider on my food and a Manuka honey 20+. I always try a little bit on new stuff and list down new food I introduce to my system.

Praise God, I am getting better. So far no more chills. I am eating smaller portion again and taking Digestive enzymes after each meal helps. Lecorice capsules from Solaray brand helped too.
