Hiatus hernia bad breath !

Guys I am calling out anyone for help, I am 22 years of age, I severely depressed due to my hiatus hernia, I feel so alone and would love some help or advice ! No one understands , I used to be so happy, it causes me so many symptoms but the bad breath is the worst symptom , its souls destroying , I can't function properly because it's causing so much anxiety and depression! The doctors just don't seem to care ! Will surgery fix this ?
Any advice or someone who has been in that situation would be muchly appreciated! Thankyou

Are u taking any anti reflux medications? There are some surgeries that are somewhat new that could fix this, there is tif and the magnetic band.. If this doctor isn’t being helpful find another one

Yes I have been on lanzoprole 30 mg for two years , then now I have changed on 40 mg omeprozole and now just reduced. To 20 mg last month!

When was the last time you had an endoscopy? Yes there are surgeries, but not if you have a small hernia. There are a lot of reasons why you are experiencing bad breath, and there aren't all necessarily due to reflux or the hernia. You need to find a new gastro doctor and have some further testing done.

Had a an endoscopy about a year ago, an they found a 4 cm hiatus hernia, is actually labled mixed hiatus hernia what I found out today from the doctors , what else could possibly causing my bad breath ? And I want them to test but they seem not bothered when I ask for further tests

One of the symptoms of a hiatus hernia is bad breath, but there are so many other things that can be causing it that may be totally unrelated. When was the last time that you saw your dentist for an exam? Did the doctor give you any suggestions about what to do about the hernia? You are 22 years old, you shouldn't be depressed because you have a hernia, it's very common and a lot of people have them and never know. If you are depressed, by all means speak to someone about it. You might want to make some lifestyle changes to get the symptoms under control. It might be a good idea to seek a 2nd opinion.

I had a checkup at the dentist last week and they said everything is good , but I know. My breath is bad because people always touching there nose, this makes me so depressed as I know people look at me and think ew my oral hygiene is very good, it causes so ouch anxiety and I got to bed every night thinking about it, I feel like I have post nasal drip caused by the acid I'm always clearing my throat that is the only other thing I can think of, I asked for h polryi check up but they refused as they said you don't seem like you have it when they looked at the pictures,
