So not sure what to think yet but I see the surgeon on the 9th.

Issues on deck
*Started getting the sweet taste again a week ago
*mouth burns sometimes
*burns by chest bone (not sure if that means acid)
----Was able to swallow with a few chokes and can let air out, feels like a part of the wrap lets stuff out up top. Really hope he will tighten is quickly if thats it, cause I never got the air build up issue or shoulda pains. I think he did it loose.-----
Anyone else get any of these symptoms and then they subsided? Other plus is the lpr isnt really as bad or not there not sure ( i smoke marijuana so could be breathless from that.) I try to sleep on my side also not sure if thats bad 3 weeks in.

You are so early into your recovery, and I suspect you are expecting too much too soon. It's very common to have the trapped gas still located in your shoulder. It's very common to have minor setbacks along your road to recovery. Gas and bloating is something that you are going to have to deal with by taking anti-gas medications containing simethicone. Make sure you are eating at least 6 small meals a day and chewing your food until it's a liquid consistency. I would speak to your surgeon regarding the marijuana consumption. I didn't feel better until approximately 6 months post-surgery and my "new normal" at approximately 1 year, so you have a way to go.

oops worded it wrong, i dont actually have trapped gas, it comes out just alot of burping, gurgling and burping. I will see the surgeon tomorrow. And the marijuana I got the yes on when I called.

Be sure to let us know how the appointment goes. I heard that you can still have swelling at 3 weeks, and that it gradually gets better after that. Best of luck!

Surgeon says i have to wait till march to discuss options, he thinks its torn. My question I forgot to ask is
I take a diuretic for high blood pressure. Im having a hard time drinking enough or eating enough. I can only do one or the other really. Suggestions? I dont really urinate now.

These are questions that are better directed to your surgeon, call the office and ask for his suggestions.

how much can i push for eating, havent ate in 2 hours and still feel full. Can i stick some food in?

Hey man, sorry to hear. Why did your surgeon believe it was torn? Did he do any tests, or is it just based on symptoms? Maybe you can try to go on a low dose of PPI if the symptoms are giving you a really bad time.

ppi's failed we tried for a full year on every type, it made the burns a heck of alot worse so we went natural. Not as painful. He wants to do x-rays and a endo will that show accurately?
**What im asking is will those tests show if it is loose also or is that only to tell if the wrap came undone. I only had a ph monitor for 24 hours before the surgery. Should I ask for that also or will those steps show even looseness?
