John:
It's difficult to remember to continue to chew properly and eat slowly, once you start to feel better.

It is because everything just becomes natural again once the healing proccess begins. How are you on after your surgery.

I'm almost 4 years post-surgery and it was a complete success. I still have bouts of nausea for no reason, but I always have a prescript
ion of Zofran with me.

Sharon, I'm glad to hear that everything is going well for you and it was a success. Like i said yesterday, I don't feel reflux anymore but I have the odd twinge but this feeling the need to burp and when I do it's more like the sound of a puff of air it's quite annoying. What would you recommend for that or would you let it run its course.
John.

I can't belch, it was something they discussed with me prior to surgery as well as losing the ability to vomit. Did you have a full or partial/floppy wrap? I would probably let it run it's course, but I would try taking an anti-gas medication containing simethicone.

I had a full nissen wrap. There not full burps, they feel like puffs of air. I dont feel bloated anything like that. It's great though not having reflux symptoms with the burning etc.
