Nissen Dec 15th fell twice this month

So the barium and endo showed normal anatomy (b4 I fell) waiting on the ph monitor to see if the nissen failed.

I fell 2 times this month pretty hard cause of slippery ice. Just wondering if falls can tear the wrap, I fell backwards. I keep feeling something when I breath in down by my lower ribs. Wondering if I broke it or if that is even possible? My surgeon has no answer other then testing needs to be done to know (I am not doing a second barium lol) Has anyone had exp with falls and the nissen? I know I threw my arms in the air and caught myself before i hit my but. And yesterday fell forward. So unlucky

Will this silly mam and ph show cause I really cant do more xrays he is mad enough that out of all these months I fall 2 weeks after the first 2 tests.

How easy do these things break just not sure why when i take a deep breath i feel something at the lower ribs i hope i didnt move anything darn.

so darn mad at this situation, will it ever get better frig. Was an amazing surgery till all this. i def recommend it to anyone offered it. Will these mamometry and ph tests show if I just broke the wrap from the fall? Or would he have to barium swallow me again.Just need input of why my wrap mis so sore now from the fall sad Can he check if i moved my stomach up again without xrays, it feels really weird and when i push below my rib i think thats my stomach cause it was lower before but now i push under the rib and im pretty sure thats the stomach due to the breathless i get when i push the thing

You could just have sore ribs...If I were you, I'd wait a couple weeks, and see how you feel.

its just when I breath its not pain per say, its a feeling just below where the ribs connect. But i understand what ure saying its just even not breathing I feel this lump feeling without touching, kinda like pressure on the skin. I cant afford more radiation

I think if anything happened to your wrap, your GERD would probably be through the roof. I'm assuming by you not mentioning it, that it's probably not? Anyway, just take some OTC painkillers for now. If the symptoms get worse, you should investigate it, but I would just let whatever happened heal on its own, and re-evaluate later.

i know its very sore and my mouth burns a little, when I do those dreadful ph mamometry tests will that rule out a faulty wrap? I just do not want him to do the barium again (was done a month ago) before I fell and had all this issues.

You need to relax and try and get your anxiety under control. This surgery takes a while to heal and it's possible to still exhibit symptoms post-surgery. I would not jump into having another manometry or pH testing done, give yourself some time to heal. Your barium swallow and endoscopy showed no abnormalities and it's unlikely that your fall has compromised your wrap.

Just hurts a heck of alot now from the fall, weird feelings. Thank you for giving advice. So is it possible i just seriously angered the wrap? I was getting acid again now or just mouth and pain where the wrap is.

*Surgeon wanted to do these tests anyways. I just want to make sure that I wont have to do a xray to prove things are busted if they are.

anyone else ever fell bad after the surgery and had good outcomes? I am still hoping for the bit to heal for me smile

*Called surgeon today and argh they were all like "we did the testing before and it was fine" but that was before the falls. I keep feeling this pull under my ribs when I move certain ways or pull/push certain pressures. Something funky happened. My acid is rough but not as bad as before the surgery but its this odd sensation pulling feeling.
*I know talk to the surgeon... I am going to try to talk to my family dr I think when he gets back from vacation. Has anyone had that pulling feeling under the rib on certain movements?

You need to take a deep breath and relax. It's quite possible that you pulled a muscle and it will resolve on its own. The healing process takes a long time, and you can't have testing every time something feels strange - trust your doctors. Just keep following the post-Nissen food suggestions and don't try and advance your diet too quickly. You can try alternating ice and heat on the area and as Leo suggested try some OTC ibuprofen or aleve.

i have been eating pretty much anything even nuts go down fine. I am at like 1/2 cup of food though but ye i blend and chew I alternate that. He told me no restrictions anymore. Have you guys eaten nuts after?

I followed a stricter diet and nuts were to be avoided. You need to follow your own surgeon's instructions
