Hi all..getting nervous about
my surgery in 2 days. I am having my wrap at CPMC in San Francisco with Dr. Gregg Jossart. There are really no options for me as I have Barrett’s with dysplasia. Because of my moderate hiatal hernia I cannot have the esophagus ablated. Dr. Jossart, during consultation, did mention that the Barrett’s could be reversed as we are removing the excess acid with the wrap. I find that very exciting and hopeful!.
So, tomorrow I have been instructed to only have a Liquid diet. And have been told to take milk of magnesia in the afternoon, and gas-x. I have stocked up on bone broth, little boxed juices, made up some Pho broth, yogurt and made some cream soups for the freezer.
I purchased some children’s liquid Tylenol, chewable vit.c(to help with healing)benefiber fiber(doesn’t get thick) and flavored waters and popscicles. All of this so when I get home I have things ready.
I will post after my surgery and chronicle how it goes. It seems most people who post here have problems..my fingers crossed I am one who posts how easy this goes! :
