Sucralfate ( carafate ) for long term use ?

Hello, in my country ( France) We can get Sucralfate without prescription
The problem is I Just discover that sucralfate contain Aluminum....

I want to use sucralfate for at least 1 or 2 years ( 4g per day )

What do you think ? its dangerous ?

Sucralfate really help me with my esophagitis and i think it will protect me against barret esophagus

The best thing is for you to discuss this with your doctor, and let him decide what your dosage should be.

I agree with SharonZ. You should discuss adding this medication with your doctor who can give you the best advice.
