Hi All,
Its been awhile since my last communication. I had my HH surgery 7/18. Have had a few problems, nausea that woke me up and I was sure I was going to vomit, but didn't . I hear you "Can't" vomit after this surgery. I can see why, since it could damage the wrap. But luckily I have the meds needed, so I keep them with me at all times.
I tried to eat spaghetti and meat sauce the other night. Bad decision. I went to bed, the next morning I woke up ready to hurl. I took my meds and it got better. Although I didn't get much sleep, and my day was totally off.
I seem to be burping a little now, but the flatulence issue is a bit over the top. Before the surgery I never that problem. Totally different now, and it doesn't matter what I eat. Hopefully it will improve over time. I am also dealing with constipation, which I'm taking digestive enzymes for.
I'm feeling that rock in my throat again. It isn't as bad as it was before the surgery, I'm thinking it might be reflux returning. It might be good to visit the doctor, see what he has to say about what's going on.
The thing that makes this whole thing worth while is that I can sleep lying flat again.
Lastly, any suggestions regarding the weakness. Seems like I'm always tired, and weak. I know I'm considered old, but some days I'm on top of it all, then other's, its like my battery is running low. Is that what we are calling recovery? Should I not expect to be the energizer bunny anymore, or will that all dissipate as time goes on. I wonder, I really miss the old me.
