Acid

I have always had acid reflux. Four years ago the acid was so bad a glass of water was giving acid. So I had the Nissen 360. and a hiatal hernia repair. Was good for a year no acid and no chest pain. The chest pain was so bad and was all the time I total Cardio work up stress test and a heart cath and all was normal the heart Dr said it was most likely Gastro. The second Nissen was a 270. This was done 2 years ago. By a different Dr. In the last 2 weeks the acid is bad. And chest pain and short winded making asthma flare up. I am worried that this one has also failed. Going to Dr this week. So tired of this going on. I just need someone to talk to about it. It is getting me down. Thanks and God Bless.

Am I reading correctly M60 that you had your first Nissen four years ago and now another one? Wow so it didnt last long enuf to work and you had a second one? So sorry to hear this....maybe you should look into the Stretta, radio frequency waves, just a suggestion here....

Yes he did a barium swallow and a endoscopy and said there was no signs of the HH returning and the wrap looked good. But he did find food still in my stomach from when I had eaten the the night before like 10hr earlier. He said that my be the problem the food setting there to long causing gas. He also said that this may be cause from years of PPIs or low acid. I started using ACV in the morning to get a little more acid in the stomach and have stopped using PPIs and went the H2 blockers. Time will tell.

M60 tanker, can you tell me what your symptoms were when you thought that you had acid going up to your throat?

Did you feel bubbles climbing up into your throat? I can't tell anymore if this is acid in my esophagus or gas since I've been on PPIs for 4 months, but I keep getting bubbles coming up into my throat.
