Yes I had that amount of reflux for 4 months straight. I even lost my voice for an entire month. I was only sleeping on a recliner, and I slept at intervals of one or two hours. I ended up losing 50lbs in those months, although I dropped from 320lbs to 270, and still have a long way to lose weight, my symptoms are now manageable enough that I am nearly pain free.
For some suggestions:
Drink only water, sip it slowly, and don't drink with meals, instead drink in between meals. Make sure that the water doesn't overfill your stomach.
Don't eat 5 hours before bed, and don't drink 2 hours before bed.
Eat small meals throughout the day avoiding trigger foods, and eating a low acid diet. (refer to Jamie Koufman's Dropping Acid Book that helped me a lot)
Take some tums, rolaids, mylanta, or even gaviscon 15-30 mins after meals ( pick one of these and find out which works best for you they can be taken with PPIs)
Walk a lot (early in the morning before eating or 30 mins after meals) and try to come down to normal BMI if you aren't already.
Please do not panic, since anxiety will make your symptoms worse. I know that this is easier said than done, because I was also constantly panicking and in so much pain. However, I first had to learn how to control my anxiety before I even made a dent in the constant pain I was suffering. The frequent walks help with this.
Hang in there and do what your docs tell you. It's going to take a long time, but you will heal.
PS Do you have a chronic cough and hoarseness in your voice? Also, is it possible that the sensation in your nose is from allergies and not necessarily from reflux?
Wishing you the best.
