Hi, folks. Long time, no see.
Well, no amount of time seems to be enough for me to wait to lie/lay down. I had a Nissen in 2013 which has, at least, partially failed. My hiatal hernia is recurrent and large. I take Dexilant in the morning and Zantac before bed. I have even tried stopping dinner.
My question is this. Has anyone here elevated their bed? If so, are the risers that can be purchased online best? Let me know the brand name/type if this is the case, please. Do the risers need to be filled with concrete or anything? It seems if you're only raising one side, you would need some kind of special material to handle the angle since the legs aren't going directly into the hole of the risers. Maybe not? Should I just go with cinder blocks?
Has anyone used wedges? The problem with wedges, and my GI doctor agrees, is we can so easily slide off of them. I usually wind up flat on my back when I wake up.
Thanks for your help.
