Anybody else with erosive or any other type of gastritis have similar kind of burning pain/sensation on abdominal skin/flesh/muscle right above stomach area?
Now If you ask me to describe how is this burning pain or sensation feels like?I would say this:
Even if I just gently brush my fingers at that area, or my t shirt touches that area, even high speed wind from table fan can cause the burning pain/sensation on that area above stomach.I even avoided wearing any shirt when I am at home for some weeks so that I don't irritate that area of abdominal skin/wall.
Now some background info fyi.So I was diagnosed with erosive antral gastritis of stomach in march 2017.Actually suffering from it from 2016.I am on medication for it for last two years.Things improved a lot.Particularly the gnawing/aching pain inside the stomach is gone.It took much effort like strict diet(bland low fat+low acid+little or no processed food - must avoid as much as possible foods) , moderate amount of food per meal for months/years to reach this stage.
And the burning pain/sensation on and in the right side of my abdominal skin and flesh just in between navel and right rib cage area just lowered down to tolerable level.Which is still there but much lower than before.
But unfortunately last may, 2019, I had a major episode of extreme anxiety/stress which stayed for like a full month.Sometime during this period I again started to have very bad burning pain/sensation on and in the left(yes this time left side is affected just to clarify) side of my abdominal skin and flesh just in between navel and left rib cage area.
So last month around june 20th I visited my gastroenterologist and he prescribed nexium 20 for two months twice a day.
Now immediately after I started taking the nexium 20 capsuled burning pain on my ledt side of abdominal skin and flesh sort of come down a lot.So from that I get it that this pain though felt on the outside skin and flesh of left abdominal wall but it's actually coming from gastritis of stomach. As this medicine lowers acid production so probably gives stomach some relief from it's own acid.So I know the relief is temporary for as long as I take nexium.
I just wonder why does this pain feel like my skin and flesh of that affected area feels like it is burning.I mean the gastritis affects the stomach. So how does that make the skin/flesh of abdominal wall feel like it is on fire?Wondering is stomach directly attached to out abdominal wall or something.
Anybody have any thing/information to share about
having similar pain from erosive or other type of gastritis and how you lowered it or make it come down to lower levels? What did you do apart from taking medicine?Just share any information if you experienced or have similar pain/sensation from gastritis or gastritis flare up, etc. Thanks for reading.
And sorry for my big post.A bit smaller post would have been easier to read for you guys.
