I have always been an anxious person and this started when I was in my 20's, panic attacks, but I was prescribed klonopin and took it a short time and seemed to get through my anxiety somewhat and was able to manage it for many years. Now recently, and I don't know why, I am going through another period of anxiety and it only happens at night time and usually right around bedtime or if I fall asleep I wake up and feel anxious, so I started taking a small dose of klonopin again and it does seem to help the anxiety, but now maybe the last 4 nights, I have been waking up feeling like I can't swallow, lasts a second and then I'm fine, but really scary and it happens quite a few times during the night. I have no heartburn, but do seem to have a gurgle in stomach, if that makes sense. I don't know if it's panic attacks, gerd, or sleep apnea, but I am going to make an appt with my doctor, although I tried to put that off because I have gained a few lbs since I last saw him, but this anxiety always makes me eat, lol. Does anyone else experience this sensation while sleeping?
