It took me several months of eating smoothies, mashed potatos and canned hash to find out that I'm in the early stages of Achalasia. I had a second GI scope, manometry and bravo done two weeks ago. They say my esophagus still works, but not well. Myotomy and Fundoplication are what my doctor has suggested today. Just waiting for their office to call and set me up.
I'm a 34 year old male. It's scary to think about this surgery, but living this way has to be worse. Have you guys had this done yet? How did it go?
