So I did the test and am kicking myself silly. I drank kombucha and ate kimchi during the test and my reflux wasn't as bad. I never asked them if that drink or the kimchi could have effected the test results. Does anyone know?
I am having issues with my fundoplication. Did this test to rule out reflux

Your reflux should show regardless as to what you have eaten or drank.

also didn't over eat like I usually do. Could that affect the results. I am just so nervous I want this surgery again. The acid is affecting my breathing again (not anxiety) Thanks for your response as always sharon.I am just nervous, my symptoms were less during the 24h test because I limited my food intake. Afraid that somehow the test is faulty due to things I did.

Sean - as I've probably told your before, you shouldn't worry about manipulating your results. If it's there, it will show up.

sorry, I just don't want to do something wrong and nothing shows. Thank you sharon. I just thought not eating alot would limit the pressure that caused reflux. I trust you and I just need to accept the results once I get them. The way I have been feeling I hope its reflux so I can get a redo. They always push the pills first .

Your endoscopy results were good, so hopefully you won't need a redo.

and as you said. The reflux will show no matter what I do. Just annoyed.

There's no guarantee that even if you have a redo, that it would resolve your issues.

yes I read that redo's arent as successful at times. That scared me to read that. He also mentioned that half his surgical procedures still resulted in PPI therapy. I am just scared of the side effects of PPIs

I will be getting my results sept 29th a far away date but hopefully it comes out accurate. Thanks again for all your help.

One last question. Since I didn't over eat like I usually do will that affect the results? Should I ask for a re test if things come out fine with no reflux.?

I've told you a number of times, Sean, you shouldn't worry about manipulating the results of your testing. If your testing comes back without reflux, your doctor will not be willing to do a retest - there would be no need. You have to face the fact that you may not have the issues that you think you do, and to decide whether you are willing to try medication to make your situation more tolerable. Constantly asking for more testing, will only strain the relationship you have with your medical Team. My best suggestion would be to try not to keep looking for problems that may not be there. You will not get your results until the end of the month. Take a break from your internet searches and this Forum. We can't give you any more advice at this point. Just relax , take a deep breath, and give yourself a break.

thanks for the amazing advice. You have been of great help. You have given some good input on my current disaster of a situation. Thanks for being there. This forum has always been of great help and relief for me.

I just worry so much, was afraid the test could be damaged for accuracy easily . By not manipulating it as you have said.

My work says I worry too much in general heh
