I'm currently 3 & a half weeks post 360° Nissen Fundoplication & (large) hernia repair via a biomesh implant; as far as my reflux and regurgitation symptoms go, my surgery was a total text book success.
...The chest pain I've been having, on the other hand, is making my life an absolute misery.
Most of the time, the pain starts within half an hour of me eating (& at times, it just happens for no apparent reason at all) then it can last for hours.
Yes, I know it is still 'early days' for me yet, however this pain is new for me; I've been having it for approximately 1 week now, and it seems to be getting worse as each day passes.
This evening was so severe I was tossing up whether I should take myself to the ER, to get checked out, and was literally in tears.
I have also noticed that the pain has started to radiate through my chest, to my back and up my neck into the right hand side of my jaw.
Does anyone know if esophageal spasms, have the potential to radiate up the neck into the jaw? I am going to 'have to' do something about this soon, as the pain is getting debilitating, and it is also really starting to scare my poor husband, who is constantly worried I'm having a heart attack or something.
