My wife has Barrett’s and grade C esophagitis. She had a Fundoplication last December 2022. Three months after surgery, her GI scoped her and said the wrap was not as robust as he was expecting (looked like a Toupet, not a 360), and that she still had significant esophagitis. Since then, we’ve had several more Dr. appointments and tests. Last week a different surgeon scoped her and said her wrap was both loose and too low. He said he could do a re-do that would help her reflux. He was recommended by her GI (as was the first guy) and he says he has a lot of experience doing fundoplications and re-dos. But how can we be sure? We’re certainly not going back to the first guy. And we are willing to travel. Anyone have recommendations?
