Hi there, I'm from MD (is that ok to post?)...I would like to know if anyone knows any compassionate and good GI doctors in Maryland/Virginia/DC.  I really need a good one who is also patient and good-hearted (don't we all)...

Please let me know if you know of any!

I don't know if you're interested in this, but here's a website that lists docs who practice mindbody techniques. There's one in Washington, DC, at GWU Integrative Medicine. http://www.mindbodymedicine.com/doctors.html

I think a place like the Integrative Medicine department might be somewhere to look for a balanced GI doc, too, one who might be open to treatments other than just drugs.

Hey WDC, cool that you'll be moving here. :)

I actually may have finally found a good GI place.  I am scheduled with an appointment at this rockville office on january 11th.  I'll be seeing their nurse practitioner because the GI docs there are popular and booked so it's the fastest way to get in.  I'll let you know how that goes.
