ph24 hour monitor test and valve test

hi all i had both tests about 4 weeks and got the results back the other day, they said my functionality is fine and the valve is working pretty much perfect, and the acidity levels are very short bursts and not dangerous carry on with the meds, but the daft thing about taking the test is that up until a week before the test i was on ppi,s for 18 months then up 2 days before the test i was on ranitidine, so what i,m trying to get at is that test wont be that accurate as you will still have the drugs working in your system even thou your not on them. the doc that did told me the same as i already though before i went. also he said they used to tell people stop taking ppi,s 2 weeks before but some people could not handle it . but my thoughts on the whole acid reflux is since i been told that my acid is short bursts it has settled down from 2 40ml nexium a day to 2 ranitidine a day, and not having bad acid taste in mouth. they both work with each other when i was getting bad reflux why axiety went through the roof, and when the axiety is bad my acid reflux went though the roof. but if you go for the tests try and not have any meds a week before to make the test a bit more accurate.
