golitely and the gastric bypass patient

I am sorry to be slow in getting to your question but I wanted to double check on something.

GI Physicians were using the Fleet Phosphate including my GI.   You only had to drink one small bottle if I remember that correctly.  It has been found to cause kidney failure after colonoscopy. ( Acute Phosphate Nephropathy)

My GI like many others have switched back to Golytely .  I have heard of physicians using Miralax but I think you have to drink large quanties of fluids with this prep too.

I do not have any suggestions other then talking to your physician to see if there is something else you could take.

i ended up using the sodium phosphurus or something like that. unsure of the name because i threw the bottles away after i drunk the nasty little things. tastes like some funky little salty things. omg they were so gross. anyways, my insurance didn't cover the golitely stuff so the pharmacy told me to drink those two tiny little bottles, and a (get this) entire box of laxatives. been sick everysince. yucky. anyways, colonoscopy fine. but upper gi has a gaping bleeding sore. where they connected my intestine to my stomach seven years ago. still a bleeder. don't know what to do, insurance wont cover rx that they prescribed to make bleeding stop. rx is more than my disabled butt makes in a month. what a fix i have myself in. shewww oh well guess tomorrow will be better. thanks all
