Can GERD Be Constant?

I think I posted my symptoms in another thread, but here they are again. They are with me most of the day and night, but they do not wake me up at night.

Chest tightness
Sternum pain and tightness
Tightness in the throat and the sensation that there is a lump in my throat
Tingling in my hands and arms
Upper back pain
Lots of belching
Lots of reflux

This may be totally unrelated, but I get a lot of tingling in my right arm when I'm laying on my left side. It seems to be the opposite of the side I'm laying on.

My Cardiologist seems very confident this is not heart related, although these are relatively new symptoms for me, since I'm 26, had a normal EKG last week, normal Stress Test in June, and my Echo from August was normal.

It's the fact that it's so constant that is so scary for me.

Thanks so much for your response. It's a relief to hear that GERD can be constant, because that's what was so scary to me.

I saw my PCP today, and he said he didn't think I was dealing with Angina, even though my symptoms are similar. My cholesterol and all that is good, so he said I am very low risk.

The only worrisome thing left with my heart is that my Lyme Disease has caused a lot of heart symptoms for me (primarily PVC's), so I'm always worried about that.

I can't see my Gastro until the middle of January, but hopefully he will have some answers for me then.
