Licorice

I have been taking DGL licorice root extraction,3 pills per day which it they reccommend on the label. Would it hurt to take more? For those of you who take licorice,how many do you take per day? Carol

I'm new here, and also arming myself with all info regarding DGL Licorice. I've found what I think is a good company with DELICIOUS tasting DGL Licorice (at least to me). It's Enzymatic Therapy German Chocolate Flavor. Until today, I've been chewing two at each meal (for the past week) but noticed that I needed to let it dissolve in my mouth first so I'm going to try it. I've recently weaned myself off of Nexium (went from 40 mg to 20 mg to Prilosec OTC) and now nothing. I'm still watching my diet but am hopeful that one day soon I'll be able to eat all good, wholesome foods again.

Nexium never totally helped me and I'm TIRED of lining the pockets of pharmaceutical companies. I was on it since Oct. 2007. My regular doctor only wants to give me meds, so I'm currently looking for an alternative care doctor.

Just wanted to chime in and refer people to the brand I use and like.
