Lower left arm pain

Hi,

I have had gerd for a number of years and lately I have had all kinds of strange pains and sensation (mentioned in previous post). Just tonight my arm pain came back and its hurts enough to cause me to lose sleep. Its a strange dull ache that seems to be thoughout my lower left arm. I wonder if it wasnt cause by the fact that I had a couple of beers this evening, as I've heard that alcohol can aggravate gerd. I have been taking several natural supplements to help combat my symptoms and they have worked well. Unfortunately right now I'm feeling this arm pain again and burping. Has anyone had this pain before and have any suggestions and to how to ease it?

From what I have read  arm pain is not a common symptom of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), although it can occur in rare cases. In general, GERD involves the reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus. While many people  have no symptoms, heartburn is the most common complaint. However, other patients have more atypical symptoms such as chest pain, which can mimic heart attack; and sore throat, hoarseness, or a bad taste should stomach contents reach the mouth.

You are perhaps experiencing an atypical sx.  Do check with your physician if this is causing you a great deal of concern or you have any questions re the arm pain just for you own peace of mind.
